Formerly The Blackball Hilton

Jen and I took an Easter weekend ride to Blackball (pop. 370) where we stayed at Formerly the Blackball Hilton. It seems that sometime during the 70s the Hilton Hotel empire took exception to the name, hence the Formerly part of the name. It was a rustic old place with lots of character. The room even came complete with a bathrobe (with our room number on it). If it looks like a place that is way off the beaten path, that is exactly what it is.

Although this place was no "Hilton", the ride over to Blackball was sweet as, and made the trip worth doing again.
